Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 13, 2026

Babble ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and handle your data when you use the Babble Slack app.

What data we collect

When you install Babble, we collect and store the following:

When a message is translated, we temporarily process the message text to send it to our AI translation provider. Message content is never stored. It is processed and immediately discarded.

How we use your data

AI and translation

Babble uses Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic, to perform translations. Message text is sent to Anthropic's API for processing and is subject to Anthropic's privacy policy. Message content is not used to train AI models. Translations may occasionally be inaccurate — please do not rely on Babble for critical or legally significant communications.

How long data is kept

Data deletion and access requests

You can uninstall Babble from your Slack workspace at any time. Upon uninstall, your bot token is revoked by Slack. To request full deletion of your workspace data from our database, email us at privacy@getbabble.app and we will delete your data within 30 days.

To request access to or a copy of the data we hold about your workspace, contact us at the same address.

Security

All data is stored in a secure, encrypted database. Bot tokens are stored securely and never exposed to end users or logged. All communication between Babble and Slack uses TLS 1.2 or greater.

Children's privacy

Babble is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify workspace admins of any significant changes via Slack.
